“It is with regret we record the death of Mrs. John S. TRITES on Monday eve., of paralysis of the brain. It appears that on Saturday last she went up to Dorchester to spend Sunday with Mr TRITES, who is conductor on the trian running between Moncton and Dorchester. On Monday she returned to St. John, but it was noticed by friends at Sussex that she had a strange look about her face. On reaching home she presided at her tea table as usual, but shortly after complaining of a slight headache, she went to her bedroom and lay down. After a lapse of some time, one of her daughters, attracted by a slight noise, went to her mother's bedside and found her insensible and in a dying state. Assistance was at once called in, but every means employed proved of no avail and she passed away in the course of the night.”
